i went to some bike shops this weekend and found two bikes i really like...Haro SX Pro and Haro SR 20. The Sx pro is $430 and the sr 20 $280. Then i looked at the specs. and only a few things are different. The forks(sx-chromoly race, sr-chromoly), the handlebars(sx-chromoly race, sr-chromoly), cranks(sx-truvativ race cranks. sr-chromoly), and the rims(sx-sun rhynolite,sr-haro)...is the SX Pro worth the $150 more than the SR 20?
here's the SR 20 http://www.harobikes.com/bmx/bikes/group1_sr20.php (锕侊箒)~~~~----------------------------------------------------------------------

He's racing, not freestyle. If i had the extra money i would buy the SX Pro, also is there a big weight difference?

Do some pushups.

Lol, i have been getting alot stronger from bmxing...i can now bunnyhop over a skateboard on its side....like a foot i think or 10 inches.
(锕侊箒)~~~~----------------------------------------------------------------------
only 8 if it's a full size board.
(锕侊箒)~~~~----------------------------------------------------------------------
Oh damn...well i think i can do a bit higher..i need to find something bigger.
(锕侊箒)~~~~----------------------------------------------------------------------
the weight difference between the two bikes is like a pound....I think
(锕侊箒)~~~~----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ehhh, i would just go with the SR, not really big difference and you can always spend the extra money on upgrades (锕侊箒)~~~~----------------------------------------------------------------------
but the cranks on the sx pro are a lot better....and i talked to my dad today and he said that 6061 aluminum(SR 20) is stronger than 7075 alum.(Sx Pro) and he's a welder and works with that stuff a lot
(锕侊箒)~~~~----------------------------------------------------------------------
WRONG, 7075 is stronger
(锕侊箒)~~~~----------------------------------------------------------------------
okay...how do you know...i'm not being rude i'm just wondering
(锕侊箒)~~~~----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's a well-known fact that 7075 aluminum is stronger in most aspects compared to 6061. A 7075 sprocket is in most aspects, stronger than a 6061 sprocket.

Sprockets my good man. I have bent several 6061-T6 Aluminium but so far have bent no 7075-T6 ones. Also, my Dad is a metalurgist (sp?) and I have asked him the very same question, 'which is stronger?'. 7075 is used on Aircrafts (random fact for you there)

This is also why i'm wondering why Odyssey are making the Million Dollar sprockets out of 7075 but the guards out of 6061
