I own a Roadmaster Mt. Fury Men's Bike (yes, I'm cheap) and after putting a few hundred miles on it, the brake shoes are pretty worn. Not sure if there's anything specific that I should pick up, as of course, it didn't come with a manual.
Any suggestions?

Go to the bike shop, and tell them to get you what fits. (锕侊箒)~~~~---------------------------------------------------------------------- Originally Posted by douglasdmb

That's a very cheap bike, with very low quality parts. For that reason, I would especially advise going for high quality brake shoes to partially make up for the deficiencies. The best are the salmon colored Kool Stop pads. The best model is called "BMX/Mountain."
They're not cheap, but they'll make a huge improvment in the braking, and they will last MANY times longer than the original pads.

I concur. Last year I ordered a big stash of them from Harris Cyclery and converted almost all of my family's bikes.
