- Does anyone have a good source for these? I can't find any on eBay. Basically it's one of the old 6 speed malliard freehubs and if I could find one for pretty cheap it'd be preferable to taking apart the rear wheel of this old trek and rebuilding it with a new hub. Thanks.

You'll probably have a tough time finding one of those things. They're old, heavy, and only 6-speed - hence, not popular. But in my hometown we have a "bicycle collective" that specializes in old vintage parts - I always find something useful when I visit. Perhaps you could find a place like this in your area?

My LBS has one of these Helicomatic hubs w/it's original 6 speed "Splinewheel" sitting in one of their bins.
