  • Mountain Biking at camp
    By:admin
Hey I am kinda new to mtb, so I havent been out much, but this summer at camp, we were on by this trail in Washington. Its supposed to be one of the best trails in Washington for MTB, and the trail from the camp ran right into it, actually the camp trail was just as good just shorter. I didn't bring my bike, as I didn't even know about the trail I was kinda of mad. But, the wilderness councilar had his bike with him, yet it was pretty crappy compaired to my Sherpa. One of those sixty dollar "Mountain bikes", if you can even call it that, so he said I could thrash on it, and he didn't care...which was good becuase I don't like to thrash on the Sherpa. So, that weekend when I was done working I started down the trail, and man it was awesome! Best experience Mountian Biking I have ever had! I was kind of scary becuase this one part, there was this huge cliff just dropped right off that side of the trail, and I kept getting air, one mistake and I would have been wounded which wouldn't have been good seeing there was no one around. Yes, I do dumb stuff sometimes...it was fun in the moment though, anyway going back up the hill sucked, actually that hill was really steep and with that cheap bike, it seemed impossible to ride up it so I had to keep getting off! Well I guess its kind of my first real Mountian Bike experience, except for Bend, Oregon, but there wasn't really much distance there.

where at in washington are you? Have you tried to ride around mt. Hood? Try riding from timberline to rhodedendron. Sweet downhill.. Also try the McKenzie River Trail. Good stuff

It was up highway 410. If you don't know where thats at, its not far from Puyallup. I can't remember the name of the trail but it runs right next to the white river.

if you're interested in coming to the gorge we've got a trail that's kinda steep dh and rocky in some areas. But... you have to figure out a way to the top if you don't want to ride up there . A freind of mine knows where there is about 21 miles of dh he says its intense. Oh, I almost forgot about post canyon... North Shore
